Τα 64α ετήσια βραβεία Grammy πραγματοποιήθηκαν το βράδυ της Κυριακής, μετά από καθυστέρηση λόγω της μετάλλαξης Όμικρον του κορωνοϊού.
Το σόου πραγματοποιήθηκε για πρώτη φορά στο Λας Βέγκας, στην MGM Grand Garden Arena χθες το βράδυ της Κυριακής και ο Τρέβορ Νόα επέστρεψε ως οικοδεσπότης. Τα βραβεία Grammy καθυστέρησαν, από την αρχική ημερομηνία τελετής τους που είχε προγραμματιστεί για τις 31 Ιανουαρίου, λόγω της έξαρσης της πανδημίας του κορωνοϊού. Η πλειονότητα των βραβείων απονεμήθηκε στην πρεμιέρα της τελετής, που πραγματοποιήθηκε πριν από την τηλεοπτική μετάδοση.
Ο Jon Baptist, ο frontman της μπάντας από το «The Late Show With Stephen Colbert», κέρδισε πέντε βραβεία Grammy. Παράλληλα, η 19χρονη ποπ καλλιτέχνης Ολίβια Ροντρίγκο, κέρδισε το βραβείο του καλύτερου νέου καλλιτέχνη και το καλύτερο ποπ φωνητικό άλμπουμ.
Οι Rodrigo, BTS, Lil Nas X, Silk Sonic, Billie Eilish, J Balvin, Carrie Underwood και Lady Gaga πραγματοποίησαν την εμφάνιση τους επί σκηνής των μουσικών βραβείων Grammy 2022, με τη Lady Gaga να είναι εμφανώς συγκινημένη μετά και την αφιέρωση του κομματιού «Do I love you?», στον φίλο της Tony Bennett.

Τα βραβεία Grammy απότισαν φόρο τιμής τον Taylor Hawkins, τον ντράμερ των Foo Fighters που πέθανε πρόσφατα, ενώ αρκετοί καλλιτέχνες όπως οι Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr., Ben Platt και Rachel Zegler, ερμήνευσαν κομμάτια του επίσης προσφάτως αποθανόντα Stephen Sondheim, συνθέτη και δημιουργού αμέτρητων τραγουδιών που έπαιξαν σε ταινίες του Hollywood.
